For years, I stifled my individuality, working in Mental Healthcare—a field I genuinely appreciated, yet one that left me feeling boxed in. Wearing scrubs and a professional facade, I clocked in and out, often feeling like just another cog in the wheel. It wasn’t until a pivotal life event that I gathered the courage to embrace my true self and pursue my passion.

 

The spark of creativity that lay dormant for so long has now flared back to life, illuminating my path forward. This endeavor has become more than just a means of expression; it’s a journey back to the essence of who I am. I often reflect on why I chose this path over a stable, predictable career in patient intake. The answer is simple yet profound: while that job may have nourished my mind, this art feeds my soul.
